The "reverberating" refers to the noise this weapon makes. The "carbonizer" refers to what happens when it is discharged: any carbon the ray strikes is instantly transformed into charcoal. The effect is similar in principal to that of a heat ray, though the reverberating carbonizer completely skips the blistering step.
This weapon appears to be a chunky hand gun with its underside a funky, glowing yellow. It emits a high-pitched whine when activated.
